• Unionized nurses at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center have accepted a new contract, the medical center announced today.

    Financial details of the four-year contract weren't released. The contract covers 1,200 registered nurses. They are represented by the Service Employees International Union.

  • After a favorable ruling by the National labor Relations Board, registered nurses at Community Medical Center finally got their union last summer.

    And all it took was about 10 years and attempts by three different unions.

    Now on to the nest painstaking process for the 450 newly minted members: negotiating a contract.
